About Ilko Tsanev

Welcome to Tsanev Bushcraft — a centre for outdoor training, preparedness and experiences based in Tryavna, Bulgaria. My goal is to help people build real skills in bushcraft, survival, self-reliance, crisis readiness and movement in nature through practical training and genuine experiences.

I lead in-person and online training, as well as courses at the training camp, so that everyone can develop the knowledge, confidence and independence needed for better preparedness in the wild, at home and during crisis situations.

I offer a wide range of formats — from introductory sessions to more advanced training in survival, primitive skills and field practice, as well as crisis-readiness programmes for private clients, businesses and NGOs. I also offer consulting for expeditions in high-risk environments, risk assessment and preparation support.

I am committed to helping participants build skills and confidence so they can cope better outdoors, in daily life and during disasters or other emergencies. When needed, I can customise training around specific goals, level and interests, and create additional individual modules.

I believe in sustainable, ethical and responsible outdoor practice. For me, it is important that people do not only learn techniques, but also develop respect for nature, self-discipline and a stronger ability to rely on themselves.
